• Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority to interview for new chief (citizensvoice.com) — Swoyersville homeowners and businesses protected by the Susquehanna River levee won’t see any increase in their flood protection fees for 2026, as the Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority approved a new budget. The authority is also beginning interviews to hire a new executive director to replace retiring longtime leader Christopher Belleman, a key role in overseeing the 16-mile levee system safeguarding Swoyersville and neighboring communities.
