Easttown Police are looking into two recent burglaries that occurred along the Route 252 corridor and offered up home safety tips.

EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Easttown Township are looking into two recent burglaries, and thus are offering residents tips to avoid becoming victims of break ins.

The two burglaries occurred along the Route 252 corridor, police said.

While details on each incident were not immediately shared by police, they did provide helpful tips to prevent burglaries.

Police gave the following advice on protecting homes from would-be burglars:

  • Lock doors and windows when you're home or away.
  • Install security cameras for extra protection.
  • Use motion-activated lights around your property.
  • Set automatic timers to make it appear you're home.
  • Trim shrubs and keep your property well-lit to eliminate hiding spots.
  • Keep valuables in a safe and out of sight.
  • Report suspicious activity immediately.
  • Keep vehicles locked at all times, even when in the driveway of your home.
