It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like....Teamwork

A history-making new banner across Lancaster Ave announces the holiday season is on the the way.

Three Easttown Police officers stopped traffic for a few minutes just before 8 a.m. Friday as a little piece of Easttown history was hoisted into place above Lancaster Ave/Route 30 a few hundred feet east of the Berwyn SEPTA Station.

A new banner now announces the Berwyn Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies on Sunday, December 2 in Easttown. The event is sponsored by the Bewryn Devon Business and Professional Association. The same group is behind getting the first-ever banner strung 30 feet above the pavement.

The event has been going on for several years. This was the first time any group was able to get all the aspects of stringing a banner aligned.

Stacey Ballard of Eadeh Enterprises arranged for the banner to be attached to one of the real estate company's properities on the south side of Lancaster Ave.  Fritz Lumber Yard Owner Bill Fritz provided not only access, but a wooden "phone poll" on the north side of the street to attach the banner. A crew from the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District manned a district bucket truck to reach the moorings.

Marc Heppe, co-owner of MH2 graphics and an Easttown Supervisor created the banner.
