Berwyn Fire Co.To Set Car, House Ablaze

When it comes to fire, the Berwyn Fire Company is not playing with fire. They're using it to demonstrate the dangers many everyday items and activites can pose if you don't know what to watch out for.

To make the point, the fire company will host an open house Saturday afternoon from 3-5:30 p.m.. The events include live fire demonstrations with a car, kitchen and model house being set on fire.

The open house is part of the National Fire Safety activities going on in communities all over the country this month. One of the themes that will be stressed on Saturday is knowing two ways out of every room in your home in case of fire.
