Blown Tire Leads To Van-Truck Collision In Tredyffrin: PSP
A van blew a tire while on Interstate 76 west in Tredyffrin earlier this month, sending it careening into a tractor trailer, police said.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A van crashed into a tractor trailer after blowing a tire on Interstate 76 west in Tredyffrin earlier this month, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened at about 11:44 a.m. on Dec. 4 near mile marker 325.1 on Interstate 76 west in Tredyffrin, police said.
A Chevrolet Express van was in the left most lanes of three travel lanes, while a Peterbilt truck was driving in the right lane, police said.

The van merged into the center lane and it blew a tire, according to police.
Police said the van spun into the truck, striking the front of the truck with its driver's side.

The van came to a rest facing east in the right shoulder, while the truck stopped in the shoulder in front of the van, according to police.
Neither driver, on from Philadelphia and another from Mississippi, was hurt, police said.
However, both were issued traffic citations.
