Coaching Marathon Changed Due To Weather

The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair's coaching marathon is making last minute changes in location of Sunday's event.

If you were planning to head out to St. David’s Church in Wayne on Sunday for the start of the Coaching Marathon from the Devon Horse Show & Country Fair, you will need to rethink your plans.

The Devon Horse Show issued an alert on its Facebook page and on the exhibitor page of its website.

ALERT! Sunday, May 26 – Carriage Pleasure Drive

Due to inclement conditions, management has decided to start the Pleasure Drive from the Dixon Oval at the Horse Show grounds. Class judging will commence at 11:30am in the Dixon Oval and the final judging and awards will take place (as scheduled in the Dixon Oval) beginning at approximately 1:45pm.

Sunday Schooling Update: Hunter/Jumper schooling will end at 11:15 am in the Dixon Oval and 12 noon in the Gold Ring.

Wind gusts of up to 28 mph are part of the the National Weather Service Devon forecast, which also predicts highs up to 70 and increasing clouds.

The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair opened Thursday and people have been braving the chilly temperatures to enjoy the Main Line tradition. The show runs through next Sunday.
