Tredyffrin Gets $350K For ADA Improvements In Park

State Rep. Melissa Shusterman said multiple projects in her district were awarded $1.35 million, including one in Tredyffrin Township.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Tredyffrin Township is getting a cut of $1.35 million in state funding to improve ADA accessibility in a local park.

State Rep. Melissa Shusterman Thursday said multiple projects across the 157th district were awarded the $1.35 million.

Tredyffrin is getting $350,000 for ADA improvements and other additions to Friendship Park, according to Shusterman's office.

Other funds were awarded to Willistown and Schuylkill townships, Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Royer-Greaves School for the Blind.

All projects have been funded by the statewide Local Share Account Program, which was established as an amendment to the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act to allow for the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support projects in the public interest within the Commonwealth.
