Easttown Makes History on Lancaster Ave Today
Easttown Township, a merchants association and the T/E School District are teaming up to make a little local history early Friday morning.

Something that's never happened before in Easttown will happen Friday morning-right in the middle of Lancaster Avenue/Route 30.
The Berwyn-Devon Business Association is going to hang a banner across the middle of the state highway, in the center of Berwyn.
It's no small feat, either.

The banner will promote the annual Holiday featival held in the Berwyn Train Station parking lot in early December.
Getting the ok for the banner involved PennDOT (Lancaster Ave/Route 30 is a state road), Easttown Township approval, PECO, cooperation from the owner of a building that the banner will be attached to (it will be string between a utility pole and a building on the south side of Lancaster Ave), and the T/E School District which is donating the use of a cherry picker/bucket truck to reach the required minimum height for the banner.

The banner is scheduled to be strung at 7:30 Friday morning.
