Easttown Township Seeks Volunteers for Stormwater Committee
The committee will advise the board of supervisors how best to manage stormwater in the 8.27-square-mile township.

EASTTOWN TWP —The Easttown supervisors took the first step in providing a plan to improve stormwater management throughout the 8.27 square-mile township.
The supervisors in a recent meeting announced that the township is forming a five-member Stormwater Management Advisory Committee to make recommendations to the township supervisors on what areas are top priorities for improvement.
Stormwater is rainwater or melted snow that runs off streets, lawns and other sites, flooding roadways during major storms.
Don Curley, director of public works, said that 28 areas of concern have been reported to the township.
Michael Wicey, vice chairman, said the township is committed to addressing stormwater issues, noting the upgrades will likely be included on next year’s budget.
