The Flag Lady explains the proper way to fly the Stars and Stripes

The Fourth of July is among the number one days for flying the American Flag, if not the number one day for displaying Old Glory. The Stars and Stripes show up everywhere in Tredyffrin and Easttown from the huge flags at the and to a gas station logo on Lancaster Ave.

While it is not illegal to display the flag in almost any configuration, there is a Flag Code, which is basically an ettiquette guide for flying Old Glory.

Jan Hartman is the owner of in Wayne. She explains that while you won't get in any legal trouble for flying the flag improperly there are a few simple rules that show respect to Stars and Stripes.
