Last Week for Detours on 252 at Route 30

Two months worth of daytime road closures and detours are scheduled to end on Friday as Aqua Pennsylvania wraps up work on a new water main underneath Route 252/Leopard Road between Route 30/Lancaster Ave and Darby Road in Paoli.

The work began back on October 17, closing 252 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. most weekdays since.

PennDOT only permits work on the road in in non-rush hour times. On Friday crews were still working two hours past 3 p.m. but the road was opened to traffic soon after 3.  There were some lane restrictions and minor delays as late as 5 p.m. Friday when Patch's camera snapped a steam roller crossing the road to its parking lot.
