Stormwater Improvement Work To Impact Arlyn Circle Into Summer
Tredyffrin Township officials said stormwater improvement projects are moving along, but much more work is in store. See work details here.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Crews in Tredyffrin Township have been hard at work on the Woodcrest Road, Willis Lane, Upper Weadley Road Stormwater Project, and plan to begin work on Arlyn Circle next week.
Workers have already installed new 36-inch stormwater drainage piping and storm inlets on sections of Willis Lane and Upper Weadley Road in the Fall of 2025, and they will begin work on Arlyn Circle Monday, officials said.
Work began on the excavation for the stormwater basin, which will be constructed in 2026, above Willis Lane. This stormwater basin was designed by township stormwater consultant Princeton-Hydro to help in capturing, storing and reducing peak rate and volume of stormwater runoff from the upper watershed areas draining to Willis Lane. This work will extend into summer, as well as work on other underground and surface improvements associated with this project.

On Monday, contractor N. Abbonizio will begin stormwater infrastructure improvement work on Arlyn Circle. Crews will build an underground infiltration bed, install new storm inlets, and replace and upgrade underground stormwater piping.
Work will be in the roadway and within the right-of-way for Arlyn Circle, about 10 feet behind the existing curb. Stormwater infrastructure work will take about a month to complete, weather depending.

During daytime work hours, Arlyn Circle residents should expect some temporary inconvenience, officials said. The contractor will work to ensure all residents are notified when work will be done in front of their properties. Additionally, crews will ensure access to each property will be maintained overnight. However, workers may need to coordinate as the underground infrastructure is being excavated and installed.
N. Abbonizio will temporarily restore excavated roadway areas with stone backfill and use steel plates, if necessary.
Additionally, work on the concrete foundation wall for the stormwater basin above Willis Lane is ongoing. Concrete pump trucks access the parcel on Willis Lane, starting work around 6 a.m. Thursday. This work will last throughout January, weather depending.
