Local Gourmet Take-Out Shop Takes the Worry Out of Your Thanksgiving Weekend Menus
Your mother in law is coming for Thanksgiving dinner in just one week (duh-duh-dummmm). Cue the scary violin music then call Claire Phillips and take all the credit.
Have you looked at the calendar and started to panic a little? Thanksgiving is now just a week away. Whether you're hosting the feast or going over the river and through the woods with a menu item assignment-relax. From soup to scones and everything in between Home Cooked will let you serve all the trimmings as if you made them at home.
Claire Philips is the owner of in the directly across Valley Road from the At a tasting for customers last Friday, Phillips and her staff offered samplings of some of the items that you can serve and claim as your own. You can buy the shop's delicacies in Home Cooked containers. But Phillips say the shop will be happy to pack items in your containers and nobody will ever have to know. Well, depending on how lumpy or sticky your gravy and stuffing came out last time you cooked, your friends and family may be suspcisious.
Phillips' secret recipes have been perfected and tweaked over the years. Caution: your "yes, of course I made it myself" charade could end when the inevitable "you have GOT to give me the recipe!" compliments start. Philips will put her creations in your dishes, but she won't share her recipe secrets.

The deadline for ordering is Friday at 6 p.m.
You can pick up your holiday orders on Tuesday, or Wednesday until 2 p.m.
Phillips says she and her staff wll try their best to accommodate orders placed after Friday, but demand is high so late orders depend on availability.
