Fire Administrator For Tredyffrin, Easttown Appointed
Joe O'Leary is the first-ever Fire Administrator for Tredyffrin and Easttown townships, bridging the municipalities' emergency services.
TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA — Officials in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships have named the Fire Administrator who will help bring emergency services together between the two municipalities.
Joe O'Leary was appointed to the role by supervisors in both townships at their respective meetings on Oct. 21. Both boards unanimously voted to appoint O'Leary in the new role.
O'Leary officially started his tenure as the first-ever fire administrator Monday.

At the Oct. 21 Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors meeting, O'Leary said his career in emergency services started when he was 15.
Since then, he has served numerous roles in fire and EMS, including in Haverford Township, the Crozer Keystone Health System, and in Concordville.

For the past 14 years, he has been a flight nurse for the University of Pennsylvania.
"In my new role as Fire Administration, I will have the opportunity to bring that experience to Tredyffrin and Easttown townships, working in collaboration with the municipal officials, along with the members of the Berwyn, Paoli, and Radnor fire companies," he said. "I'm extremely excited to a part of this community and this team and look forward to what the future holds for the community."
O'Leary, as the fire administrator, will serve as the strategic advisor, coordinator, and liaison between township management, fire companies, and the community, and will be involved in every aspect of fire and emergency management services in the townships.
He will report to both Tredyffrin Township Manager William Martin and Easttown Township manager Don Curley, while officially being employed by Tredyffrin Township.

"He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience that will help the Townships and Fire Companies work together to provide the best services to our residents in a financially prudent manner."
