NWS: Strong Thunderstorm Alert for Parts of Chester County
The National Weather Service issues alert in effect until 10:30pm for parts of Chester and Delaware Counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather alert for Chester County as well as Delaware County, Pa and New Castle County De. Â At 9:36p.m. Tuesday, Â NWS radar had detected a strong thunderstorm moving rapidly through the area.
A trong thunderstormwas detected 13 miles northwest of Newark, Delaware moving east at 25 to 35 miles per hour. The statement said the storm would be near West Grove at 9:45, Kennett Square around 10:00p.m. and Upper Providence Township around 10:30pm.Â
While the storm track prediction indicates the storm will probably move just to the south of Tredyffrin and Easttown, residents in those areas should be aware of the possibility of the storm track shifting.
