PA's New Booze Boss Favors Privatization of State Stores

The new Chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquour Control Board (PLCB) says he favors privatization of alcohol sales in Pennsylvania.

Joseph A. "Skip" Brion, the former Chairman of the Chester County Republican Party, was sworn in as one of three PLCB Commissioners and immediately named Chairman Tuesday during a ceremony in the State Capitol in Harrisburg.

Brion was nominated for the position by Republican Governor Tom Corbett who ran on a platform that included privatizing wine and liquor sales in Pennsylvania.

An article on Philly.Com quotes Brion as saying he will do whatever the legislature directs, but he personally sides with the Governor on getting the Commonwealth our of the liquor business in favor of private enterprise.
