'Pajama Game' Opens Wednesday at Conestoga HS

The play—'a smorgasbord of activity,' according to its director—runs Feb. 27 to March 2.

Looking to take in some local theater this week? Check out The Pajama Game, premiering Wednesday night at Conestoga High School's Hobson C. Wagner Auditorium.

What's the play about? According to 'Stoga Music, it's a twist on the classic boy-meets-girl story:

Babe Williams, head of the Sleeptite Pajama Company’s grievance committee falls for an exec – the new superintendent- Sid Sorokin. Will the chemistry between Babe and Sid interfere with union politics?  Can they come to an agreement on wages and romance? Come find out and enjoy Tony Award winning numbers like Steam Heat and Hernando’s Hideaway.

Director Nicole Gerenyi said the Tony-Award-winning play brings a new level of choreography for 'Stoga.

"I have been challenging the actors with lifts and tricks and choreography that they have never done before. Our dance numbers will be very exciting to watch with a smorgasbord of activity in each one," Gerenyi said.
