Region Under Flash Flood Watch
Scattered and intense showers could have the potential to flood some roads and low lying areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Chester County and Southeastern Pennsylvania. It will be in effect until 4 a.m. Saturday. The watch was issued because of the potential for heavy rains which may cause rapidly developing and dangerous flooding.
According to the weather service, "low pressure will move along a stationary front in the mid-Atlantic region this afternoon and this evening. Resulting thunderstorms may yield rainfall rates exceeding 2-inches in less than a hour. Additional thunderstorms may track across the same area resulting in flash flooding."

The National Weather Service watch cautions heavy rains could also impact travel on major roadways, including the I-95 corridor and cause very dangerous situations. Â
