Severe Thunderstorm Watch

The National Weather Service office for Philadelphia has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 8 p.m. Friday for areas including Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships. The watch area also includes all of Chester County, Delaware County and surrounding areas in Southeast Pennsylvania. 

"Pop up" thunderstorms are possible with heavy rains and gusty winds. The watch means that conditions are favorable for thunderstorms with hail and possible wind gusts of at least 58 mph. 

The National Weather Service advises people in the watch areas to be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions.
