State Police Investigating Fatal Crash On Route 202: UPDATE
A 42-year-old man was killed and three others injured in a 12:05 a.m. crash on Route 202 and Swedesford Road, East Whiteland.

EAST WHITELAND, PA —State police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred just after midnight on Route 202, between Mill Lane and Swedesford Road, in East Whiteland Township, officials said.
Police said accidents occurred at 12:05 a.m. on Route 202 involving a driver going the wrong way on Route 202, creating two accidents.

A GMC Sierra, being operated by 42-year-old Matthew DeAngelis was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 202.
A 2022 Volkswagen Tao was traveling northbound at mile marker 17.2 when the vehicles collided head-on.

DeAngelis was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
All three occupants were transported to Paoli Hospital by EMS for suspected life-
threatening injuries.
Embreeville Patrol Unit is investigating this crash.
Troop J Forensics Service Unit Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist Unit, and Chester County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
East Whiteland Fire Company, Minquas Fire and EMS, and Uwchlan Ambulance Corps, and Embreeville Patrol Unit were in the scene this morning.
