Still Shopping for a Chesterbrook Anchor
Still no takers for former Genuardi's location.
There had been speculation that Bottom Dollar Food would move into the anchor store location in the Chesterbrook Shopping Center, but that's not in the company's plans.
Tredyffrin Township officials say there had been some activity around permiting for the empty former grocery store location but then it just evaporated.
A Bottom Dollar Chain spokeswoman says the discount grocery chain has no plans to open at the site. The "for lease" signs at the shopping center are further evidence that the search is still on for a major anchor tenant at Chesterbrook. Patch's call to the leasing company was not returned on Wednesday.

The grocery store will be constructing a new building, approximately 17,000 to 18,000 sq. ft., and will be going through the normal review and approval process as any new construction in the Borough. The plans will have to go in front of Zoning Hearing Board and Planning Commission.
