Stressed Over Holiday Cooking? Check this Out

Local gourmet-to-go offerings can put some holiday magic in your entertaining this week.

For many people this is the "most wonderful time of the year." Yeah, whoever wrote that song about "parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting and caroling blah blah blah" didn't have to cook all those meals for all those people on top of putting them up for a long weekend.

With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year and many businesses taking Monday the 26th as the company holiday, Christmas is an extra long 3 or 4 day affair this weekend. Freaking out over what to cook for all those meals?  There are some local "kitchen elves" ready to make you look like a world-class holiday host.

Home Cooked in has you covered from soup to nuts for every meal. French toast sticky buns, turkey, beef, seven fishes stew, and desserts to die for are on their special holiday gourmet-to-go menu. But don't think about it too long. Monday at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to order if you want to be guaranteed they'll make your meals exactly as you like them. Owner Claire Philips says they will try to accomodate holiday orders that come in after Monday but they can't promise they'll have what you want in stock.
