Too Soon for Christmas Shopping?
As area shopping centers, including King of Prussia, deck the malls, one big store is bucking the trend.
It's an annual question for merchants and shoppers: How soon is too soon to deck the malls and shopping centers for the Christmas holiday season?
Two giant reindeer were already lighting up the sidewalks outside the lower level King of Prussia mall entrance near Neimann Marcus last week. Meanwhile one of the anchor department stores at King of Prussia is waiting until after Thanksgiving to deck it's halls.
Norstrom has put the public on notice through its website and in-store signs that the department store giant will start the Christmas season on Black Friday, so that shoppers can celebrate one holiday at a time, thank you very much.
