Tractor Trailer Overturns at 202 & 422 [Updated]

Update 11/27/12 10am—Details from Deb Abel of Abel Brothers towing: The truck was traveling from Route 422 to Route 202 North, when it took a turn too quickly, shifting the 25,000-pound load of batteries.

The truck flipped onto the barrier, breaching the trailer and smashing the tractor into the wall. Batteries broke open, causing the acid to spill onto the roadway. Lewis Environmental responded to assist with the hazmat cleanup. Abel Brothers recovered the tractor trailer and removed the hazardous load.
