Tredyffrin Trash Hauler Bid Deadine: Aug. 24
The township is seeking bids for municipal trash collection in response to complaints from residents about late trash pickup.

TREDYFFRIN, PA —Following complaints from residents about timely trash collection, Tredyffrin Township is soliciting bids for a municipal trash hauler for the 19-square-mile township.
The deadline to submit a bid electronically or in person is 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24.
There are 7,118 housing units and 31,944 residents in the township. There are 217 miles of roadway.

A contract is expected to be awarded at the township's meeting on Sept. 18.
In the meantime, two trash haulers, A.J. Blosenski and Whitetail Disposal, are still collecting trash.

Whitetail, however, notified the township on July 25 that Whitetail is phasing out its service in the township.
Whitetail said it will collect trash for currently paid services through September and is not accepting new customers.
Equipment will be picked up on Sept. 5 for customers who paid through August. It will be picked on Oct. 3 for customers who paid through September.
