Truck-Car Collision Snarls Wayne Traffic Friday Morning

It happened just before 10 a.m. Friday at Old Eagle School Road and Lancaster Avenue.

A tractor-trailer and car collided Friday morning at a busy Wayne intersection, causing another Main Line traffic headache during U.S. Open week.

The larger vehicle was turning right from Old Eagle School Road onto Lancaster Avenue just before 10 a.m. when it struck a sedan on its right side, according to a police officer on the scene.

Like many such trucks it has to make some turns from the left-hand lane. The officer said that the car's driver either did not wait for or did not know the tractor-trailer was turning.
