UMLY To Trade Gym Clothes For Formal Wear

The Upper Main Line YMCA is hosting a gala fundraiser this Friday, October 12th at Aronimink Golf Club from 6 PM- 11 PM to honor five exemplary community advocates who have supported the Y and surrounding community over the last five decades.

The event is sold out with over 300 people expected ito attend. Ticket sales, commemorative ad book sponsors, and proceeds from both silent and live auctions are targeted to exceed the initial $200,000 goal.

The money goes to the Y's Scholarship fund which helps people with financial needs pay for memberships and services at Upper Main Line YMCA facilities.

YMCA of the Upper Main Line Legacy Honorees: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Borst, The Hankin Family, Mrs. J. Maxwell Moran, Mr. and Mrs. John Nash, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Valocchi.

Editor's Note: The people in the photo gathered last month for a cocktail party in honor of the people who have donated a great deal of money, time and energy to support the YMCA over many years.
