US 202 Lane Restrictions Resume Tuesday Night

Southbound U.S. 202 will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. beginning Tuesday night. The closures are dependent on weather and will be in effect from Tuesday-Thursday nights (July 5-7).

Crews are turning the shoulder lane into a travel lane in preparation for future construction on the road.  According to an online announcement from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation the work "is part of PennDOT’s $105.4 million project to add a third travel lane in each direction along four miles of Route 202 from just south of the Route 252 Interchange in Tredyffrin Township to just north of the Route 401 Interchange in East Whiteland Township."

Traffic will be reduced to 45 mph in the construction zone.
