USPS Tredyffrin Center to Close?
The facility in Devon could be one of many shut down in a cost-cutting move.

The U.S. Postal Service is trying to find $20 billion in savings by 2015 to avert a financial crisis.
Monday the wholly owned government agency announced plans to stop trying to deliver first class mail in one day and instead aim for two to three day delivery targets for first class mail.
The post office is also looking at shutting down more than 250 postal facility, including some in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Philly.com reports the USPS sorting facility in Devon is on the list of mail processing sites being considered for closure. Because the USPS is run by the government it could take a while for the proposed changes to go into affect. The first class mail changes as well as any facility closures need to be advertised and reviewed. That process could take well into 2012 at the earliest to complete. There is no word yet on what might happen to workers at the facility if it were to close.
What do you think about changing most first class mail delivery from overnight to two to three days?
