Main Line Dentist Admits To Fondling Patient

WAYNE, PA — A Wayne dentist pleaded guilty in court to offenses related to his fondling of a patient in early 2024, according to authorities.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said James Godorecci, 57, of Wayne, pleaded guilty to simple assault by physical menace last week.

He received two years of probation with a variety of conditions, including no contact with the victim and a requirement that he participate in sex offender treatment.

Additionally, Godorecci must comply with all Pennsylvania board of licensing decisions and rules. This plea agreement was reached in consultation with the victim, who was present in court for the proceeding.

The conviction stems from an incident on Jan. 3, 2024, at Main Line Dental Aesthetics in Paoli.

The victim was a patient of Godorecci's. She was receiving treatment for Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, commonly known as TMJ. During the appointment, Godorecci began to inappropriately touch the victim. Specifically, as part of the plea today, Godorecciagreed that he touched the victim’s breasts and nipples under her shirt and bra.

"The victim showed great courage coming forward," District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said. "No one should go in for medical treatment and get assaulted by the very person who is supposed to help them."

"Because of incredible collaboration between investigators and prosecutors, we were able to tenaciously pursue justice for the victim," Tredyffrin Township Police Chief Michael Beaty said.
