These cases, all still pending, span incidents in Washington, Nicholson, Meshoppen, and nearby townships, giving locals a snapshot of current legal activity affecting their neighbors. 
• Trail tops Tunkhannock in defensive battle (wcexaminer.com) — Tunkhannock boys’ basketball fell 38–27 on the road at Lackawanna Trail, struggling to score in three of four quarters against a tight zone defense. Despite three three-pointers from Luke Chilson and a late rally, the Tigers couldn’t overcome a decisive 12–2 third quarter run that put the game out of reach.
