$4750K Coming For Upper Dublin Library Renovations
Upper Dublin's state representatives have announced the grant to improve the Fort Washington library.

FORT WASHINGTON, PA —The Upper Dublin Township Library is receiving a $750,000 state grant for renovations, officials have announced.
State Sen. Maria Collett (D-12), State Rep. Melissa Cerrato (D-151), and State Rep. Ben Sanchez (D-153) said that the Pennsylvania Department of Education has awarded $750,000 in grant funding for the Upper Dublin Public Library.
“Our public libraries don’t just promote literacy – they’re critical hubs that provide access to technology and skills training, children’s programming, career help, cultural enrichment, and so much more," Collett said. “I’m thrilled that the Upper Dublin Public Library will get the funding they need to improve their facilities and continue to serve our neighbors for decades to come.”

They are one of 11 Pennsylvania public libraries receiving Keystone grants this year.

“Libraries are the heart of our communities, breaking boundaries and bringing people together in an inclusive and vibrant space for fun, learning, and connection," Cerrato said. "They are not just repositories of knowledge but also catalysts for inspiration, creativity, and growth, empowering individuals and uniting us as a society. This is why I am thrilled to announce that the Upper Dublin Public Library will receive a $750,000 grant to transform and revitalize its public spaces. This funding will allow them to make essential, accessible, energy-efficient, and mechanical upgrades that ensure the library continues to be a welcoming haven for all."
Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities are funded through the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund and administered by the Department of Education. The program provides up to $750,000 in matching funds to improve their operations, install equipment, and upgrade security systems.
“The Upper Dublin Public Library was built to be a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all, and it has become a true community center for the entire township. Knowing that they have obtained the crucial funding they needed to continue to grow and provide innovative inspiration and education to the Upper Dublin community and beyond is tremendous, and I am grateful that PDE recognized the value of this phenomenal community resource the way I do,” Sanchez said.
