Dinner and a Movie to Benefit St. Mary's

The Ambler Theater is showing a screening of "The Trouble with Angels" on Aug. 26, the proceeds of which will benefit St. Mary's Villa for Children and Families.

Date night, with dinner and a movie in Ambler can benefit St. Mary's Villa for Children and Families, if you plan to head out on Aug. 26.

According to a report in the Ambler Gazette, the will host a screening of "The Trouble with Angels" on that date at 4 p.m. with the proceeds benefitting St. Mary's. The ticket price - $40 - will also include dinner following the movie, at one of four restaurants in Ambler: Bridget's, From the Boot, Giuseppe's or Massa.

Tickets for just the movie can also be purchased for $15 from the Ambler Theater website.

According to the Gazette, "The proceeds from the film screening will help St. Mary’s pay for vocational training, life strategy classes and fitness and nutrition programs for the nearly 100 children living on its campus."

The movie, a 1966 comedy about two girls in an all girls school run by nuns, was filmed on location at St. Mary's Villa for Children and Families.
