How learning at The Montessori School helps with children's development and growth.
One of the outcomes of engaging children developmentally and physically in learning is the development of concentration. The child who experiences deep concentration also begins to understand how to regulate his/her own behavior.
The Montessori Curriculum was specifically designed to induce concentration through content that is developmentally interesting to the child. To further engage the child in the content, Montessori Materials are designed to complement and illustrate the content through the use of a child’s own hands and senses. As the learner develops, so do the content and materials, fostering continual interest, engagement, concentration and ultimately, a drive to learn.
