New Director Of Teaching & Learning Named In Upper Dublin

Bridget Pustay comes to Upper Dublin from the Central Bucks School District in neighboring Bucks County where she is currently a principal.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — The Upper Dublin School District has announced that it has hired a new director of teaching and learning.

Bridget Pustay, who was named to the position recently, is currently serving as an elementary school principal in the Central Bucks School District in neighboring Bucks County.

Upper Dublin administrators said in their announcement that Pustay "rose to the top of an incredibly competitive interview process that involved input from stakeholders across the District."

"We are excited that she will soon join the 'nest,' officially beginning her tenure in Upper Dublin following the Thanksgiving break," the district posted in a message online.

According to her bio, Pustay has more than two decades' worth of educational experience, and she has served in positions in all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade.

She also has administrative experience, having worked as a high school and elementary school principal.

"Bridget is a well-respected educator and described as 'incredibly student-centered' with a passion for ensuring that 'all students will reach their full potential,'" the district's announcement states.

The Intelligencer newspaper reported back in 2015 that Pustay had been promoted that year to assistant high school principal at Central Bucks High School South.

In July 2019, the Bucks County Herald reported that Pustay was named new principal at Titus Elementary School in the Central Bucks School District.

The article says that she taught at Central Bucks since 2004.
