UPPER DUBLIN TOWNSHIP, PA —The Upper Dublin Township Police Department is warning residents after recent reports of thefts from vehicles.
Police said multiple thefts from motor vehicles have occurred recently in the township and surrounding communities.
The thefts mainly take place during the overnight hours, the police said.

Video evidence suggests that the suspects were armed with firearms during the thefts.
Police ask residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious persons by calling 911. Anyone who witnesses a theft in progress should not intervene but call 911 immediately.

Police have provided the following tips:
- Take precautions to minimize the chance of becoming a victim of theft from your vehicle.
- Lock your vehicle when it is unattended.
- Make sure to not leave valuable items inside your vehicle.
- Park in well-lit areas.
- Install and maintain security lighting outside your home.
