Upper Dublin High School Takes Home Nine First-Place Awards At PA Science Competition

Upper Dublin High School won nine first-place awards recently at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Competition.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — High school students in this community recently took home nine first-place awards in a statewide science competition.

The Upper Dublin School District announced that 21 of its high school STEM researchers presented research findings at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Competition at Souderton Area High School this past Saturday, and they ended up coming home with numerous accolades.

The competition hosted more than 200 students from 15 different high schools and middle schools throughout the region, according to Upper Dublin.

When all was said and done, Upper Dublin took home nine first-place awards and 12 second-place awards.

The first-place winners are expected to participate in the statewide competition held in May at Penn State University.

The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science is a statewide organization made up of junior and senior high school students and is geared toward promoting interest in the field of science through research projects and investigations.
