TikTok Challenge Threatening School Violence Friday Is Making Its Away Around Social Media
Upper Dublin School Superintendent also says a message was found in one of the student bathrooms at Sandy Run Middle School.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — School administrators are warning the community about a TikTok challenge making its way around social media that purports to threaten school violence on Friday.
Upper Dublin Superintendent Steve Yanni posted a message to the community on Wednesday addressing the TikTok challenge.
And while the challenge didn't originate in Upper Dublin, Yanni did say some type of threatening message was found in one of the bathrooms at Sandy Run Middle School this week, although he didn't specify what, exactly, was written.

Yanni said middle school administrators are investigating the matter, including reviewing security camera footage to see if they could catch those who scrawled the threatening message.
"Threats and acts of violence will NEVER be tolerated in the Upper Dublin School District," Yanni stated in his message, which he shared on Twitter. "In addition to prosocial instruction that will be implemented in our schools, we are asking all parents, guardians, and caregivers to speak with your children in your care and remind them that threats are serious and have serious consequences."

"As always, student safety remains a priority for us, and we will take all necessary steps to protect our students and staff," Yanni stated.
