Visionary Artist Helps With Cool Kids' Masks During COVID-19
Upper Dublin Artist Lori Diamond: "I Create Magical Kids Masks So They Are Less Afraid!"
Visionary artist and designer Lori Diamond always sees more than meets the eye!
This is why during the current Coronavirus pandemic, in which most of us are wearing masks for protection, Diamond has pivoted LoriDiamondArt, by designing masks for breast cancer patients, as well as young children.
“I had already designed a fabric line, but had a much different vision of what I would do with it,” the kind-hearted Diamond, recently revealed. “After this pandemic occurred, I asked myself, “How can I help others?”

Once the Upper Dublin resident discovered that children had contracted COVID-19, she knew that she needed to make “magical protective masks.”
This is something she took personally. “I put myself in the shoes of a 10-year-old boy or girl who has to wear a mask everywhere I went. I already had lots of Unicorn and Caticorn designs printed on fabric,” says Diamond, “and so I worked day and night to make decorative masks that children would not only wear but look and feel cool wearing.”

The cool kids’ masks, and other items including socks, are available at the Berta Sawyer clothing shop in Jenkintown, PA..
Diamond knows that her art is unique, and is inspired to use her gifts, and be grateful for them, and the people that work with her, as well as her deeply-caring collaborating affiliating businesses.
After months of research, she was ready to begin on this new journey. “I learned and continued to learn what the public would tolerate when it came to wearing them.”
As a result of the outpouring support, she knows she made the right decision.
LoriDiamondArt also offers breast cancer socks and masks to help with the cause, a mission that is near and dear to the hearts of Diamond and her daughter. "I am happy that I have created a line of socks to honor breast cancer warriors and bring a dose of joy to people at a time when they need it most," she says.

Always looking for additional ways to improve the world, Diamond recently reached out to Donna Duncan of the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and is hoping to make a strong connection there.
In addition to the kids' masks Diamond has added a magical mini hand sanitizer that clips on to belt loops, backpacks, or purses for kids or adults to carry, making it easier to access the sanitizer.
“I hope with all my heart that we can be done with masks and the world will become flipped back on its axis,” Diamond said.
“Being socially-conscious, I want to be there for others using my art, always design more magical things with my fabric, and create products that continue to positively help change the world,” she says. For example, she sells mermaid-designed masks at the The Mermaid Store in Newport Beach, California.
“This Coronavirus forced us to see how we are all connected, which means that if one company fails it could set off a domino reaction and we could all begin tumbling down,” Diamond says.
“So, we are helping our neighbors like never before in our history,” Diamond explains. “It gave me a clearer perspective on what is important to me in this life: the love of my family and what I can do to help others in pain!”
