DEA to Host Drug Take-Back in Willow Grove
Sixth annual take-back initiative set for April 27.

If you are seeking a way to safely dispose of medications, the Township is here to help. In conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), there will be a take-back in order to keep the community safe.
The sixth annual take-back day is scheduled for April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The DEA has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The Upper Moreland Township Police Department will be participating in this initiative, collecting controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications at the Giant, 315 N. York Road, Willow Grove.

"Liquid products and creams in its containers will be accepted," said an announcement on the Upper Moreland Township website.
Those that bring medications to the drop-off are permitted to remain anonymous.

"This program is absolutely anonymous and all efforts are be made to protect the anonymity of individuals disposing of medications," said the Township's site. "Please remove any personal information from bottles or packages that contain pills/capsules and liquids."
Drop-off guests will not be asked to reveal their identity during the process.
"No questions or requests for identification will be made by law enforcement personnel present," said the site. "Sharpies and syringes will not be accepted due to the potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens."
