OrangeTheory Fitness Studio Hands Out $2,500 to Weight-Loss Champion
OrangeTheory Fitness Studio in Willow Grove rewarded the customer who lost the largest percentage of weight in a six-week contest.
Six weeks of intense 60-minute workouts are over.
The weight-loss competition at OrangeTheory Fitness Studio in Willow Grove has come to an end and one person was rewarded for his efforts in losing the largest percentage of weight among all contestants.
Abington resident Chris Thompson was handed a check for $2,500 to help celebrate the contest as well as the grand opening celebration of the store in the Willow Grove Shopping Center.

Members of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce were on-hand at the ribbon-cutting ceremony last Friday, March 1, and dozens of orange balloons marked the special occasion.
"It went very well," co-owner and studio manager Adrienne Gerhart said. "We had a good turnout with the members and guests. We had a lot of good raffles that we gave away. It was a great celebration."

The unique workouts that OrangeTheory offers are said to burn up to 900 calories in a single, 60-minute session. The competition started on Jan. 17 and ran through the month of February. In all, 52 contestants lost a combine 350 pounds.
OrangeTheory Fitness Studio is the first of its kind in Pennsylvania, but the six-week competition is an annual event hosted by other OrangeTheory locations across the country.
