Students Show Off 3-Dimensional Forms of Art

The Upper Moreland Library had many forms of art created by students on display at the entrance of the building.

This week Upper Moreland Patch looks at the different forms of artwork produced by students in the Upper Moreland School District. There are a variety of different types of drawings and paintings done by various age groups of students.

Object Drawing Variation

Advanced Art & Ap Studio Art Class

A two dimensional picture can only reflect one side of things. In order to get a better understanding of a three dimensional form in space, an artist may choose to show the subject from various angels.

During their instruction, students had four main objectives to accomplish:

  1. Explore different compositional layouts using the same object and creating nine separate drawings and paintings of the same object from different angels.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of drawing from observation, and effective use of light and shade.
  3. Demonstrate your understandings of different drawing and painting media to represent form and space.
  4. Investigate positive-negative shape relationships.
