Willow Grove Church To Hold Animal Food Pantry Event Sat & Sun

The Willow Grove Baptist Church will hold an animal food pantry this weekend to benefit ACCT Philly.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Animal lovers in the region will have the opportunity to help a dog or cat in need this coming weekend when the Willow Grove Baptist Church Food Pantry holds a special collection event for a regional animal shelter.

Items collected during the drive will go to benefit ACCT Philly, which is the Philadelphia region’s largest animal care and control provider and offers adoption and foster services as well volunteer opportunities.

Items being sought include unopened wet and dry dog and cat food, cat litter, bath towels, fleece blankets, comforters/blankets, unfitted sheets, Kong brand toys, walking harnesses, dog training treats and 6-foot leashes.

Donations can be brought to the event, which will take place on July 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on July 18 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Those unable to come out in person to make the donations during the weekend event can drop off items any day of the week in collection boxes that are located in the end of the church’s driveway.

According to its website, part of ACCT Philly’s mission is to “provide shelter, care and life saving efforts for homeless, abandoned, and abused animals.”

The Willow Grove Baptist Church is located at 3600 Welsh Road in Willow Grove (Upper Moreland).
