2 Star General to Ride in 4th of July Parade

Peter Rossetti, the veteran coordinator for Upper Southampton's July fourth parade, shares some highlights for this year's event.

Peter Rossetti said he "got sick and tired" of watching fire trucks make their way through Upper Southampton for every Fourth of July parade.

So, he did something about it.

"I appeared before the committee and I told them what I had in mind," said .

Now, the veterans coordinator for the annual parade, Rossetti said this year's event will feature Major General Randall R. Marchi, deputy adjutant general-Army, Pennsylvania National Guard.

"The general will have his own color guard and hummer and a stryker tank," Rossetti said. "The people went crazy last year."

As for Rossetti? He will be riding in a '68 Thunderbird as part of the Southampton Days Parade, which he told Patch will be his last.
