Bucks County Schools Briefly Locked Down, Man Dressed In Camo Costume Arrested: Report

A man walking home from a Halloween party early Friday morning on school grounds reportedly raised suspicions.

A man walking home from a Halloween party wearing camouflage passed across school grounds and put two Bucks County schools on lockdown Friday morning, according to media reports.

The man, 24, was walking through the woods in Tamanend Park, which is adjacent to Klinger Middle School on 2nd Street Pike in Southampton, at around 6:50 a.m., NBC 10 reports. The lockdown was lifted at Klinger and Davis Elementary School by around 10 a.m.

The man in camo also had on face paint, the report states, and pushed away an officer and fled the scene when first confronted, according to the report.

He was later arrested nearby. He had no prior criminal history, the report states.

In the wake of the incident, Upper Southampton police are advising all residents to be mindful of their costumes on Halloween.
