Over 600 Runners & Walkers Join Autism Cares Foundation Race4Resources

CBS News Philadelphia Anchor Jim Donovan, Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and Local Recording Artist Ryan Sab Kick Off Race

Southampton, PA - Autism Cares Foundation (ACF), a Southampton-based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality programs and services to individuals and families coping with autism and other intellectual disabilities (IDD), announced that over 600 runners and walkers, and more than 1100 donors, joined its 15th annual “Race 4 Resources” 5K Run/1 Mile Family Fun Walk and Resources Expo fundraiser recently held at Bucks County Community College and Tyler State Park in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. CBS News Philadelphia Anchor Jim Donovan and Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick of PA’s First Congressional District joined the day’s festivities to support the annual event that benefits programs for autism and other intellectual disabilities. Local 17-year old recording artist Ryan Sab sang the National Anthem and provided guests with a performance on center stage after the race.

Twenty-four year-old Nick Accardo of Washington Crossing, PA was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 17:52. Other awards were presented to the Largest Fundraising Team - Achiever’s Assemble, and Top Fundraising Team - Logan’s Heroes. This year’s successful race saw an increase in registrants, attendees, volunteers and presenters over 2022 numbers, and even mother nature cooperated with beautiful sunny skies and comfortable spring temperatures.

“This Race 4 Resources is extremely important to us,” stated Linda Kuepper, Autism Cares Foundation Co-Founder and Board CEO. “All of you are instrumental in the success of Autism Cares Foundation because you’re here today. You help us enable our team, our mission and our values. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

The Race 4 Resources also included a Resources Expo that provided attendees with many community resources geared to assisting those with autism and other intellectual disabilities. All attendees were treated to an amazing selection of food generously donated by sponsors Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill and Carrabbas’s Italian Grill. About Autism Cares Foundation
Autism Cares Foundation (ACF) was founded in 2007 by Linda and Frank Kuepper, parents of a child with autism. Their goal was to establish an organization focused on improving life experiences of individuals with intellectual disabilities and for them to have age-appropriate activities to enjoy in a safe and secure environment.
