Woman Charged In Hit-And-Run In Upper Southampton Twp.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 58-year-old woman has been charged in a hit-and-run late last month, police said.

The Upper Southampton Township Police Department reported the arrest of Brendalee Meehan on charges of hit-and-run related-offenses on Oct. 8.

Police said the incident took place in the area of Hampton and Summit Avenues.

A police investigation found that Meenan struck another vehicle while it was stopped at the intersection.

Police said Meenan failed to stop after the impact, check on the struck vehicle, or provide any required documentation.

It was unknown whether there were any injuries in the incident.

Meanwhile, Upper Southampton Township Police reported several other recent incidents:

• Jorge Galarza, 58, was taken into custody on Sept. 5 after an investigation revealed that he made false written statements on government forms in an attempt to purchase a firearm in February.
• Angel DeJesus, 24, was arrested on Sept. 27 and charged with theft by unlawful taking and related offenses stemming from an investigation that revealed he allegedly accessed the back room of a business and stole money.
