Acclaimed Chef Reopens Dormant Upper St. Clair Restaurant
A popular Upper St. Clair restaurant that shuttered last year has reopened under the operation of a well-known chef. Get the details here.
UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — The name is the same, but that's about all at the Wild Rosemary Bistro on Bower Hill Road.
After the original owners shuttered the restaurant last year, it was purchased by Raymond Mikesell, who formerly owned Cafe Raymond in the Strip District.
Wild Rosemary Bistro formerly emphasized Mediterranean food, but that will not be the case under Mikesell's watch.

“I’m most excited to share my family recipes growing up in an Italian/Irish American North Side 'Yinzer' family here in Pittsburgh," Mikesell wrote on the restaurant website.
"I’ve traveled to France and Italy, which is what my impression of food heaven is and the source of my inspiration when creating our menus. I love creating happiness through food for all to enjoy. My son and I wanted to create a place that reminds you of the food you ate growing up."

Mikesell intends to start a supper club at the eatery beginning next month.
"When you come to Supper Club, expect bench-style seating because we want to squeeze you in there and we want you to sit right next to somebody new and start a conversation," the website states. "Then, the food will come out, and it’s going to bring it all together full circle."
Wild Rosemary Bisto remains a BYOB establishment.
