Bed Bath & Beyond Closing Bethel Park Location

The financially troubled retailer announced a host of store closures on Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Three Pittsburgh Bed Bath & Beyond stores are beyond being able to be saved. They were among the 87 stores the retailer announced would be closing Tuesday as the financially strapped chain attempts to avoid bankruptcy.

The stores closing are in Bethel Park, North Fayette and Monroeville.

Specific closure dates and when going out of business sales will begin at those locations were not disclosed.

Surviving Bed Bath & Beyond stores locally - at least for the moment - will be the ones at The Waterfront in Homestead, Cranberry and The Waterworks near Aspinwall.

Bed Bath & Beyond previously announced it was closing 62 stores in September and 56 more in January.

Bed Bath & Beyond originated in 1971 as a single store in New Jersey. It's known for its ubiquitous blue coupons offering large discounts on its products.
