Quick Change Artist Robs Giant Eagle
A quick-change scam artist hit the Collier Township Giant Eagle last week and stole $150 from the clerk.

A quick-change scam artist hit the Giant Eagle in Chartiers Valley Shopping Center last week.
Collier police said a black man walked into the grocery store at around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and went to the customer service desk to make a transaction.
The man was able to scam the clerk out of $150, police said.

A quick-change thief also hit the Dunkin’ Donuts in Dormont on Sept. 7. Police did not say if the two crimes are related.
Anyone with information on the quick-change scam at the Giant Eagle is asked to call the Collier Township Police Department at 412-276-5051.

Elderly Man Accused of Stealing Facial Cream
Collier police charged a 74-year-old Mt. Lebanon man with retail theft after he allegedly stole nearly $70 worth of facial cream from a store.
Police said Gerald Levitt took the two containers of cream from TJ Maxx on Sept. 15. He was stopped by store employees when they saw him put it in his pocket and try to leave, police said.
